How to find the specs of my laptop?

We recommend downloading "Speccy" onto the laptop you wish to sell. Speccy is a free tool that tells you what's inside your laptop, including CPU, RAM and Hard Drive specifications. It's the easiest way to find out.

Speccy - System Information
Please note: Speccy won't tell you which version of Windows your laptop originally came with, so please observe the stickers or original packaging if you are unsure. If you need a bit of help working anything out, feel free to contact us.

If you don't fancy downloading anything, you can find most information via Windows

1) Launch Windows File Explorer (Normally a folder icon at the bottom of the screen)
2) Find, on the left hand side, an item named "Computer" or "This PC"
3) Right click this item and then click "Properties"
4) A System Information window should appear with a section on it called "Processor"

The processor name may display like "Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4590 CPU @ 3.40GHz". We can see that this is an Intel Core i5 processor.

If you're not sure about anything, don't worry! Have a guess and when it arrives at our facility, we'll adjust the price up or down accordingly. The worst case scenario is that you get your laptop returned for free if you aren't 100% happy with the price!
